These are questions from customers:
I have a 1/18 LC80. When I turn the car on, the lights come on and it works for a second (steering, forward, and reverse), but then the truck blinks very fast and nothing works. I have a fully charged battery and the controller batteries are also full.
How to resolve:
This receiver has multiple prompt functions including power-on self-test display, overheat alarm, and voltage low/high alarm.
- Self-test display: All car lights turn on for 1 second immediately after powering on the receiver.
- Overheat alarm: When the internal temperature of the ESC exceeds 110°C, the motor stops outputting, and all car lights flash quickly. Normal output resumes when the temperature drops below 70°C.
- Voltage low/high alarm: When the receiver detects low voltage protection, the motor stops outputting, and all car lights flash slowly. When the receiver detects high voltage protection, all channels stop outputting, and all car lights flash quickly.
So, if you notice the car lights flashing quickly or slowly, first check if the vehicle is overheated. If it is, it needs to cool down and rest. Using it on a hot surface increases the chances of overheating. If the overheat occurs within a short time, such as 5 minutes, it might be a quality issue with the ESC. In this case, please contact customer service for a replacement, and remember to include a video or photo. It's also possible that high battery voltage is causing the issue, so you may need to discharge the battery.
